  • The Most Useful Websites on the Internet: GetNotify

Mini-Review

Look, we all know that everyone’s got their go-to website for whatever it is they need on the Internet. You know, that site that you go to any time you need some random piece of information, or if you want to watch a video on the topic you’re researching in class, or even if you just want to procrastinate and waste time on the Internet! I love these websites because they make my life easier, so I thought I’d share with you my favorite one today.

Notifications

It’s not just a really handy website, it’s one of THE most useful websites on the internet. It has no bells and whistles, but you get notifications (as promised!) and your dashboard tells exactly how many followers have unsubscribed from your site—and then gives you a link to see their feed and why they left. You can also see when people like or comment on your posts, or retweet them.

Signals

It’s really useful to know when something you’re waiting for becomes available. It might be a new job opening at work, a new size of a pair of shoes you want, or an item that was out of stock before but is now available. Signals can let you know with just one click. Once there’s something in your queue, you get an email notification. You can have multiple signals and track as many queues as you like. They have a free plan and paid plans starting at $5/month.

What to Do With It?

Really useful websites are hard to come by. Luckily, it’s pretty easy to have them delivered right to your inbox. Sites like Product Hunt, Uncrate, and Grommet do just that with a daily digest of new and updated items. If you are anything like me, though, you don’t want a dozen emails every day from product-finding services—you just want one email at a time, with a couple of great finds. Enter GetNotify.
