Pressing The Buttons All Day

Pressing Keys and Searching for Purpose This is an unplanned…

Pressing Keys and Searching for Purpose

This is an unplanned and unscripted moment “Pressing The Buttons”… I’m smoking a cigarette, which is not something I usually do on video. But I want to be honest and show you the reality of things. I just finished attending my brain injury support group, where we watched a video by The Brain Association of America.

The Invisible Rain Cloud

We talked about “the invisible rain cloud,” which made me think about how brain injury and depression are connected. It’s like an invisible cloud that nobody can see, but it’s always there. Sometimes it’s more noticeable than other times, but it never goes away.

It made me reflect on my own circumstances and how I spend a significant amount of time at the computer. I sit here from early morning until late in the evening, but it seems like all I do is push buttons. Sometimes pressing the buttons yields positive outcomes when done in certain ways, but other times I find myself pressed to push buttons even when I don’t want to.

Trying to Make It Through the Day Pressing Keys

It feels like I’m just trying to make it through the day and reach nighttime, where I can finally stop pressing buttons and go to sleep. And when I’m asleep, I don’t have to worry about pushing buttons anymore.

I am referring to both the physical act of pressing keys on a keyboard and the metaphorical act of pressing buttons in life. Sometimes it can be difficult to press the right buttons, and it can be even more complicated when there are different combinations of buttons that you can press. What if you don’t press them in the right way? What if you have to press them in a certain way, but you don’t know how to press them in the correct sequences and combinations?

This Makes No Sense

This may not make sense to anyone else, and it doesn’t really make sense to me either, but sometimes life just feels like it’s about getting through the day. For some people, it might be drinking alcohol or doing drugs. For others, it might be gambling or driving fast. For me, it just seems like I press the buttons on the keyboard and hope that good things will happen when I press them correctly.

So yeah, it’s kind of interesting. This doesn’t make sense, but it’s not likely that anyone is going to watch this anyway. So it doesn’t really matter. It served its purpose, which was for me to try and think through what I’m feeling. However, I don’t really know what I’m feeling other than something to do with pressing the buttons.

What’s It All About?

What is life about? Does pressing buttons on the keyboard serve a purpose? I don’t know because I’m uncertain about the consequences of not pressing the buttons on the keyboard. This uncertainty seems odd, doesn’t it? I don’t enjoy pressing the buttons, but I feel compelled to do so. If I don’t press the buttons, what else can I do? Anyway, this is just a random meaningless post.

What Am I Grateful For?

Today, I am grateful for the buttons!
